LAPP and PPC are excited to announce their presence at the upcoming IEEE PES Transmission and Distribution Conference and Exposition in Chicago, 4th-7th May 2026.

At this year’s event, both brands will exhibit together in a unified space under the global ITG brand, highlighting the combined expertise and technologies of both companies, and the advantages of local manufacturing expertise supported by the global scale of the ITG portfolio.
The joint stand will showcase the complementary capabilities of both companies across transmission, substation, and grid modernization applications, providing utilities, OEMs, EPCs, and industry professionals with direct access to product specialists and technical experts.
Visitors can find the team at Booth 141, where both companies will showcase their latest innovations in transmission and substation insulation technology for modern power grids.
A key focus of the exhibit will be the U.S. manufacturing capabilities of LAPP Insulators, whose products are proudly manufactured in the United States to meet the evolving challenges of the American grid.
Visitors will be able to speak to our local American technical engineers and learn more about how American-made porcelain insulators support reliable transmission infrastructure, supply chain resilience, and optimal performance in demanding grid environments.
The exhibition will also mark a significant milestone for LAPP with the launch of its Porcelain Long Rod insulator technology for U.S. transmission lines.
Already an established standard across Europe, Long Rod insulators offer several operational advantages for utilities, including:
-
Enhanced mechanical strength
-
Improved contamination performance
-
Reduced maintenance requirements
-
Proven long-term reliability
Attendees can discover the benefits of Long Rod insulators for U.S. transmission networks and learn why an increasing number of U.S. utilities are making the switch.
A dedicated “Ask the Engineer” area on the booth will allow visitors to engage directly with LAPP and PPC technical specialists, who will be happy to explore all posed insulator challenges and questions around insulator design.
This interactive space is designed to give utilities and industry professionals the opportunity to have in-depth technical conversations with the experts behind the products.
Our local engineers and technical experts will be available to discuss:
- Transmission and substation insulation solutions
- Application design considerations
- Grid reliability challenges specific to U.S. environments
- Optimal technology selection to boost efficiency for modern transmission projects
We invite attendees of the IEEE T&D Conference to visit Booth 141 to explore new technologies, meet the engineering teams, and learn more about how ITG companies are supporting the next generation of power transmission infrastructure.
